Climate Change in the Mediterranean and the Middle East: Challenges and Solutions

The Cyprus Institute (www.cyi.ac.cy) hosted this International Conference organised under the Government of Cyprus, and with the support of the European Commission Representation. More than 300 delegates from 35 countries, including leading international scientists, such as Laurent Fabius, Prof. Jeffrey Sachs, Prof. Petteri Taalas and Christos Stylianides, attended the conference. The latest scientific data and projections were presented in order to enable their further development, and their impacts on health, agriculture, the economy and stability in the region. Prof. Despina Serghides, Dr Elias Giannakis and Dr George Zittis from CYI introduced The SOCLIMPACT project in the poster session of this high-level summit.
