The Centre for Environmental and Natural Resources Economics (CERE) in collaboration with the WONV, in Umea, Sweden organised this workshop. One of the main objectives of this Workshop was to create a forum for the dissemination of quality articles, to present recent projects in theoretical and empirical analysis in the field of non-market valuation, and to create a network of researchers. The researcher Jorge Araña from ULPGC presented the objectives and methodology proposed by the SOCLIMPACT Project and the limitations and challenges of its insertion in conventional models for estimating the socio-economic impacts of Climate Change and Adaptation and Mitigation Policies in EU islands (Cyprus, Malta, Baltic islands (Übersetzun, Fehmarn, Rügen, Usedom), Balearic, Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica, Crete, Azores, Madeira, Canary, Martinique, Guadalupe).
