Applying Tourism Trends on Data, Talent and Resources Management in European Islands and Regions, Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Spain)
The thematic conference was organized by NECSTouR and the Government of the Canary Islands within the framework of the NECSTour Annual General Meeting 2019. The event elicited conversations that bring into focus topics such as predictive data analysis, talent retention, progression and resource management in a sustainable tourism destination such as EU Islands (Cyprus, Malta, Baltic Islands (Übersetzun, Fehmarn, Rügen, Usedom), Balearic, Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica, Crete, Azores, Madeira, Canary, Martinique, Guadalupe)
There were also parallel workshops most of whose attendees were experts on destinations and businesses. Finally, a plenary session took place in which SOCLIMPACT had the opportunity to present its project in order to provide further insight into the role played by the impact chain technique as a validated method for vulnerability assessment, downscaled coupled ocean-atmosphere in Regional Climate, thereby one might measure the market and non-market impacts.
