The AquaBioTech Group is a research driven consultancy and development company based in Malta working in the fields of aquaculture, and the marine and aquatic environment. The company is strategically located in the center of the Mediterranean on the island of Malta, although operating globally with clients and projects in over fifty-five countries. The AquaBioTech Group undertakes a variety of aquaculture, aquaculture and environmental. projects through its regional offices and selected partners throughout the world. The company undertakes market research / intelligence, through to project feasibility assessments, finance acquisition, project management, technology sourcing and technical support and training. It is also greatly involved in aquaculture research, marine surveys and design and installation of RAS farms.

Holding a B.Sc. degree in Landscape Ecology and International Nature Conservation and a M.Sc. degree in Environmental Management, Lena has a broad background in environmental related topics. She specialised in coastal management and spatial data handling, utilising GIS and remote sensing applications in marine science. At AquaBioTech Group she works as an Environmental and Marine Survey Consultant. As such, Lena is involved in a variety of EU and commercial projects in the marine and aquaculture sector, mainly concerning environmental assessments, aquaculture consultancy, marine surveying and GIS. In the SOCLIMPACT project she is part of the Sectoral Modelling Team for Aquaculture and represents the Island Focal Point for the Islands of Malta.

NAME: TAMÁS BARDÓCZ

A Hungarian national, with an education in agriculture and aquaculture, has over 15 years work experience on various areas of the fisheries and aquaculture sector. One of his main interest are the governance issues in fishery and aquaculture on national and international level. Having the position of Director General for Fisheries and Aquaculture of Hungary he was responsible for the preparation of a new national law on fisheries and aquaculture and actively participated in the latest reform of the Common Fisheries Policy of the European Union. Since 2014 he has been managing the tasks of AquaBioTech Group in EU funded fishery and aquaculture research projects and also participate in the related consultancy activities of the company.
NAME: KYRA HOEVENAARS

Kyra Hoevenaars, is specialized in hatchery management and operations from her past experiences. She has a vast knowledge and exposure to setting up and managing aquaculture projects for different species as well as providing training for hatchery and on-growing operations. She has been involved in multiple research projects on fisheries and aquaculture, and has conducted assessments and audits of aquaculture establishments in different countries and involved in many EU projects. She has expertise in research and data collection, as well as program management with skills in financial management, monitoring and evaluation and capacity building. She is also an experienced project manager with skills in financial management and evaluation.
