ANCI Sardinia is a voluntary and independent association which represents all Sardinian municipalities (317). It aims to represent Sardinian municipalities and their interests towards other local administration at Regional level. It promotes the cooperation between Italian municipalities and it also conceives initiatives aimed to their economic and social development.
Anci Sardinia supports the municipalities through the organisation, promotion and involvement in seminar, training course, initiatives, meetings, cultural events and any other helpful activity. It represents the views and concerns of Sardinia Municipalities at Regional and National meetings between central and local institutions.

NAME: MARIA ROSARIA MADAU
Ms. Maria Rosaria Madau has a degree in Political Science from the University of Cagliari. She cultivated her interest in international relations and European policies by attending an internship at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and also one at a Banking Cooperation office in Brussels. She has over 15 years of experience in the administrative and financial management of direct management projects of the European Commission and in those of International Cooperation, collaborating with private and public entities. In the last five years she has collaborated with the Autonomous Region of Sardinia providing support in the administrative and financial management of two European projects of which the Region is the leader. One of these projects, currently in the final phase, is Master Adapt (masteradapt.eu), a LIFE project on the theme of adaptation to climate change. One of the main deliverables of the project is the “Guidelines for adaptation strategies to climate change” which is currently the only tool available at national level to guide the Regions in drafting their adaptation strategies and on the basis of which the Sardinia Region has also adopted its own strategy.
